Privacy Policy
Short version: Photo Dedup does not collect your personal data. Photo analysis runs on your iPhone. Your photos are not uploaded to our servers.
Photo Dedup helps you find similar, burst, and duplicate photos and clean them up. This policy explains what the app accesses and how information is handled.
Data we collect
Photo Dedup does not collect, upload, sell, or share your personal data with us. We do not operate a backend that receives your photos or library contents for this app.
Photo library access
The app needs Photo Library permission to:
- Analyze similar, burst, and duplicate photos locally and group them
- Delete photos you choose after you confirm
- Share photos through the system share sheet when you choose to
Photos never leave your device for our processing. Granting access does not mean we receive copies of your library.
Data we do not collect
- We do not sell your personal data
- We do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs
- We do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites
- No account is required to use the app
Local storage
App settings and on-device analysis indexes stay on your device (for example UserDefaults / local app storage). Uninstalling the app removes that local app data. Photos you delete go to iOS Recently Deleted according to system rules (often recoverable for about 30 days).
Purchases & pricing
Photo Dedup is free to download and use. There is no subscription required for core cleanup features described in the App Store listing.
Children
Photo Dedup is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children on our servers because we do not operate such servers for this app.
Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date above will change when we do.
